Loretta earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Rochester
Institute of Technology, NY and a master’s degree in oceanography
from Old Dominion University, VA. She worked as an environmental
scientist and proposal/copy writer before beginning the serious
study of art at Lyme Academy of Fine Arts. Loretta has also studied
with Albert Handell and Anita Louise West as part of their Mentoring
Program. Working in pastel and oil, Loretta has exhibited in a variety of places,
including Pfizer, Inc., the Connecticut Pastel Society, Lyme Art Association,
Studio 33 in New London, and State of the Arts Gallery in Hartford.
She is a member of the Connecticut Pastel Society, Essex Art Association,
Friends of Lyme Academy and Lyme Art Association. Her paintings are
part of private collections throughout the East Coast and Midwest. |
